I live in Washington State and immediately emailed Congressperson Jayapal expressing outrage and deep sadness in her and the rest of the group caving in and walking away from a timid attempt at sanity and ending the war. Been fighting the war machine from the 60's and know it's blogs like yours that give us hope and resources for the struggle.

“The Ukrainian National Police committed numerous crimes against humanity in Bucha. Biden, in seeking to shift blame for the Bucha murders to Russia, is guilty of aiding and abetting these crimes. Congratulations America…. We’ve created yet another Presidential war criminal !!”
Thank you. And a mystery — if our beloved US is basically - a bipartisan fascist non-democracy - why is it fashionable for GOP RINOs to call fascist Democrats — communists (?!) and “left” (?!) ?
Found this and while a bit "dated" (i.e. last month...grin), another good review of why negotiations and diplomacy are critical. JFK was ready to deal with Kruschev(sp?) under severe circumstances....we must as well. Not that we will....
Here is the real question: are that many politicians, both in the US (and Canada) as well as in Europe that dumb, that clueless or that corrupt as to risk nuclear war? The odds of nuclear war are now about the same as playing Russian Roulette. The difference is that Russian Roulette only kills you, while nuclear war also kills your kids, parents, brothers, sisters, friends etc…
So what explains that the vast majority of both politicians and journalists, rather than some fanatic fringe minority, keep escalating this?
And for European politicians, the epic damage to their economy on top of that…
