My very first reaction seeing that the Boston Marathon was gonna exclude Russians was "Wow: great way to show gratitude for their warning you at least TWICE about the Tsarnaevs!!"
Skimmed this because I got side-tracked. Ultimately, I think I'll agree with you. But I also wonder what, if any, effect a global boycott of all things American would have had in the early 2000s following our invasion of Iraq on fraudulent WMD charges. Plenty of Americans had the pompoms waving, and if someone had scored a contract to live stream Special Ops Go Pro cameras, they'd have raked in a boat load of cash. Is there a chance that Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld would have lost the second term? Probably not. The people who would have been hurt would have been the people least able to handle the hurt. Thinking out loud here, late at night, which is always a bad idea on the internet. I'll say again, I'm pretty sure I'll end up where you are, but there's a part of me that thinks votes and taxpayer dollars for wars should have consequences.
I wondered it myself in context of Russia sanctions -- what if we'd gotten this kinda push back in 03?
What little we did get -- like France mumbling publicly against us -- led Congress to rename French fries as Freedom fries and filled the nation with rage ... hmm
One key distinction is, we're pretty frankly trying to topple Putin from power and straight-up cripple Russia as a state. So it's probably not surprising that Russians (who are getting a very different media diet too) are rallying around the flag ...
An occasional bit of sanity - very refreshing against the constant Orwellian din of the corporate media
You need to have a lot of courage to swim against the tide of common media sewage… Congrats!
BTW: presence of Russian soldiers on Ukraine territory is not justified at all.
Thanks, and I 100% agree with your BTW ...

Thanks for putting this fact on blast. ;)

It's a really interesting question.

Russian army is highly trained and professional. Mainstream media should stop repeating Nazi-Ukraine and US War party lies and propaganda.
Thanks for the YouTube link to Ritter / Gonzalo
The Storm Troopers were also quite professional
I'm sure we all remember how easily they took out that Jawa sand crawler on Tatooine ...
Bravo!
